Experience and approach to therapy
I help people to:
- Understand their difficulties and create meaningful change
- Discover and draw on their inner strengths
- Build a life aligned with their personal values
- Find balance after migration experiences
- Break out of recurring patterns in relationships
I gained experience working at the “Blue Line” Center for Victims of Domestic Violence and in collaboration with the Empowering Children Foundation. I’ve been living in Spain for the past five years, which has given me a deep, personal understanding of the complexity of the migration experience—both its richness and its challenges.
In my practice, I dedicate time to deeply understanding each client’s difficulties and to building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. I offer therapy in Polish, English, and Spanish, allowing clients to express themselves in the language that feels most natural and authentic.
“We are not what happened to us. We are who we choose to become.“
– Carl Jung
In my work, I draw on elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), schema therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
I am especially dedicated to working with individuals dealing with anxiety, low mood, the aftermath of traumatic experiences, as well as professional and parental burnout. My own experience of living abroad helps me understand the challenges faced by those building a life in a new country—from the feeling of being caught between two worlds to finding a new sense of balance.
I continually expand my skills in third-wave therapies, as well as in body-based approaches such as Somatic Experiencing and mindfulness practices. I am currently undergoing supervision as part of comprehensive training in Schema Therapy, firmly believing that a therapist’s ongoing development is essential for providing effective support.
