I reached out to Marta when I felt I could no longer handle my emotions, especially being alone in a foreign country. From the very first session, I felt incredibly comfortable, safe, and understood. I looked forward to our weekly sessions with great anticipation because they gave me a sense of relief and the feeling of being cared for (probably for the first time in my life). Each meeting helped me realize that I and my needs are important, and that only I have the power to improve the quality of my life and relationships.

Gradually, I discovered that through actions and openly expressing my needs, I could implement real changes. After six months of therapy, I learned how to communicate clearly, let go of prejudices lingering in my mind, and understood that prioritizing myself is not a bad thing. I also learned to let go of trivial matters and focus on what truly matters. I’ve gained confidence in myself and now bravely pursue my dreams.

I worked with Marta in therapy for a year. I decided to start our collaboration when I needed support and help with my work situation. Even though everything seemed fine on the outside, I felt stressed and anxious on the inside.

I expected therapy to help me organize my thoughts and find the best solution for my situation. Marta provided me with tools that enabled me to reflect on my circumstances independently and helped me find the answers I needed. Read more…

At the beginning of therapy, I didn’t really know why I was there or what I was looking for. Ultimately, I realized that I simply needed meaningful support. With Marta, I felt fully heard. I felt very safe with all my wounds, which, thanks to her, not only closed but also healed.

Now, when I look at those scars, I remember everything I’ve been through and what truly matters to me. I no longer push my needs aside or pretend they don’t exist. Marta has an incredible gift of understanding and tenderness, both in her presence and the way she speaks. No words can truly express how grateful I am to have found her.

The best investment of my life! Is it worth dedicating so much time, money, and emotion to therapy? Absolutely, because for me, it turned out to be the best investment I’ve ever made. I came to Marta a year ago overwhelmed with frustration, chronic stress, overwork, and alcohol dependency. At that time, I couldn’t see any other way of coping with the difficult professional situation that significantly affected my entire life.

Additionally, as a people pleaser with no boundaries, I was constantly stuck in a cycle of chasing and fighting. Through the process, I found ways to deal with the triggers of difficult emotional states, established boundaries, and, most importantly, got to the root of where it was all coming from. This newfound understanding made it easier to accept my situation, which almost immediately brought a sense of lightness to my life.

Letting go and putting myself first—things that seemed so far out of reach a year ago—are now part of my everyday reality. Was it always easy? No. Were there moments of doubt? A few, but I didn’t give up. I trusted the process and worked incredibly hard. Success in therapy isn’t just about having a great therapist and psychologist but also about the commitment of the client. An incredible experience 🫶🏼

When I decided to start working with Marta, I was crying every day, feeling like I was the worst person out of everyone I knew, and I was terribly lonely. At that time, I had recently gone through a difficult breakup, which was the final blow that pushed me to seek help.

I made the decision because of my family’s encouragement—they could see that I wasn’t the same person I used to be, and I couldn’t manage on my own. My sister helped me the most; she even scheduled my first session for me because I wasn’t able to do it myself. read more…

When Marta and I started working together, I already had a good understanding of many aspects of my life. Our sessions simply helped organize the things I was uncertain about. When I decided to have my first session, I didn’t feel like I particularly needed it at that moment. It was more of a suggestion from my brother, who noticed that I hadn’t fully worked through everything and suggested that I talk it over with someone who really understands. read more…

When I reached out to Marta, I was at a point where I knew I should have asked for help much earlier, but I honestly can’t even say why I hadn’t done it sooner.

With my hand on my heart, I can admit that I’d been in a really bad place for a while… or maybe even worse? I had left my full-time job to start my own business, and it wasn’t going too well—plus the pandemic on top of that… read more…

Joanna | Turkey

When I started working with Marta in November, I had already been on my Erasmus exchange in Turkey for a month. I went there with the intention of meeting people, making friends, and making the most of my time, but unfortunately, that wasn’t happening. That’s when I realized I had issues with communication and that I couldn’t handle it on my own.

I’ll admit I was a bit scared to work with a psychologist because I didn’t know what such a relationship would look like, and sometimes it was hard for me to open up about certain things. Read more…

When I decided to work with Marta, I was in a very chaotic place—to the point where I thought I was signing up with someone else!
However, it turned out to be one of the best mistakes of my life—after the first session, I realized Marta is incredibly empathetic and open.

At the time, I was struggling with severe sleep problems, depressive episodes, and a lack of self-confidence. Marta was the third specialist I reached out to, as the two previous therapies hadn’t gone well and ended abruptly. Read more…

I want to sincerely and deeply thank you, Marta. You’re doing an amazing job!
Our work together has genuinely changed my life—I use the knowledge and tools I gained every single day.

Thank you for equipping me with poles, red flags, and safety nets!

Marta is a wonderful therapist with a very attentive and supportive approach. I never felt judged or pigeonholed, and after every session, I felt truly heard. She helped me better understand myself, taught me to approach my own emotions with curiosity instead of judgment, and helped me realize how I build my own self-confidence, how to set boundaries, and what that really means. My relationships with others and with myself have become much richer and more valuable. I worked with Marta for a year, and I owe her a lot.

I am very pleasantly surprised by my experience with therapist Marta Dziekońska. She shows full professionalism, and I felt that I could trust her. Scheduling appointments through the system is also very easy. Highly recommend!

For a long time, I was looking for a therapist with whom I could connect, and whose sessions would be based on conversation and exploration. I finally found Marta, and starting therapy with her was the best decision, especially since the topics Marta works with were directly related to my own issues. Full professionalism, commitment, openness, and a strong connection. During the sessions, I felt cared for and safe. This is exactly how therapy should be 🙂

Experience and work philosophy

I am a psychologist and provide psychotherapy sessions using behavioral approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My specialization is in working with anxiety, uncertainty, and life transitions, including nomadism and immigration. I help clients regain trust in themselves and a sense of control over what happens in their lives, turning self-doubt into self-acceptance.

I believe that the path to a meaningful life does not lie in eliminating difficulty, but in recognizing that sometimes we are the ones standing in our own way, and offering love to the hardest parts of ourselves to accept.

In both my life and my work, respecting the freedom of others is of utmost importance to me. I am deeply curious about the world, non-judgmental towards others, endlessly enthusiastic about expanding my own horizons, and committed to honest communication.

In my practice, I use a combination of humanistic and behavioral approaches. Beyond ACT, I draw from Motivational Interviewing, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Adventure Therapy. All methods I use are evidence-based.

In our sessions, I not only encourage reflection but also engage clients in body work, therapeutic writing, and invite experimentation to test their beliefs.

I have undergone 3 years of personal therapy. I am currently completing comprehensive therapeutic training at the School of Behavioral Therapy and work under regular supervision with Dr. Natalia Liszewska. I am constantly learning and continuing my education to feed my curiosity.

“Our mistakes and regrets are not barriers to becoming who we can be – they are a necessary ingredient.”
